Kinetic AR Sculpture

Wildflower is a site-specific work and is to be shown and installed in an organic site in nature.
The sculpture was the first work in a series I call Permineralization:
“Permineralization is a type of fossilization that happens when minerals transported by water fill in all the open spaces of an organism or organic tissue.”
Material for the sculpting process has been a physical, abstract, stone sculpture by a unknown artist (I’m Still researching its origins) that I found walking in my neighbourhood. I obtained a digital version of its form and texture through 3D scanning using lidar technology and re-worked the material using digital sculpting tools and animation.
