2020
During my stay in the NAC (Nida Art Colony) residency December, 2020 I tried to adapt local tree roots in primitive practices. The massive Lockdown according The virus pandemic dictated one topic, on what to think there.
According such special situation, this topic on how a local villager sees the situation and how the villagers in general would solve it. Those, who wouldn't be able to get the protective masks – would need to improvise and to create protections by themselves. They would have get away from what is found in local flora.
With the support of the residency program I created a sculpture of a "local villager" that would question the practical use of tree roots. The Mask has been made from Mountain-pine roots and the natural etheric oils, inside the roots strengthens it's protection against any possible viruses of the world.
