This painting, painted during the 2 & 1/2 months corona quarantine, is dealing with the attitude in which matters were addressed in the near past in comparison with today's approach.
One of the strongest characteristics of current capitalism is the complete oblivium to the consequences of what we decide to do, manufacture and put to the market, it is as if we are in Pompeii celebrating blindly days before the Vesuvius eruption.
The sterilisator in this painting symbolises for me the not so ancient believe in logic and in constant progress, whilst the piglet the vanity and utter inconsideration which characterizes our times. Consideration and the pursuit for knowledge against flamboyance and vanity.
