Exile is a "critical" ready-made, a subjective "object", which alters the usual context of communication generally related to pictograms and signaletic design. The intervention shifts the viewer's attention from its function to an alternate insightful meaning.
Radu Carnariu (b.1979) is a Romanian visual artist and art teacher from Iasi who graduated BA, MA, Ph.D. at George Enescu University of Arts. He is interested in the study of social, political and cognitive effects caused by critical art on the relation between mentality, imagination and behavior. Some of his projects such as “Dracolax+”, “Holy Advertising”, ”Statement-ism”, “Boogie Man Generation”, ”Eyes Wide Fat” or “Argumented Reality” ironically highlight various contexts of this effects through paradoxical visual approaches, in order to alter or provoke the common state of public’s awareness regarding the reality/realities of our days. He had national solo shows in Iasi and Bucharest and international group exhibitions such as: Art Revolution Taipei, Taiwan (finalist) 2012, Nord Art 2013 and Nord Art 2014, Kunstwerk Carlshuette, Germany and Contaminazioni 016, European Cuteness Art, 2016, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy.
