PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
For locals who appreciate the tradition of wood craft and nature, we tend to know the situation and condition is not in good shape. Irregular development on each country which indicate the sudden change from simple mechanics to continuous high technology development, the lack of appreciation in the importance of our lives; nature and traditions and yet we still indifference ourselves. The current status of our country (Malaysia) has reached to be one of the most developed country in the world and rich in sources. The relentless construction of residential and industrial sector by the demolition of nature forest and traditions with the numerable vehicles’ exhaustion of carbon dioxide and monoxide contribute to the dilemma. We even become more stressed and violent without knowing that the predicament is caused by the lack of green nature around our living blocks. We need tradition and cultural aesthetical surroundings but industrialization is also crucial to maintain our livelihood. How should we incorporate value of our traditions with new technology of electricity and computerization? How should we provide a reminder for people to still appreciate the origins while accommodating the new world of machines?
AIM & OBJECTIVES
This project will execute an installation whereby its main goal will be a reminder for people, spending too much of their time in Cyber-Blue (internet), labs and theories and desks about what we take so high in value of our traditional arts when we were young, to look at the crafts and recall the time when we want to remain it alive forever. There will be lots of knowledge in the artwork and there we will decorate with local tradition crafts, sculptures and more in planning with the regard to nature.
