In a historical moment like ours where we begin to understand that the word Anthropocene is no longer conceivable, where we began to feel closely, magnificently and dramatically linked with the animal world, also lending ourselves to become guests of the same viruses that inhabit other mammals, humans can no longer feel at the center of everything but must begin to think of new and unexpected relationships. Nature transforms us, the physical body seeks new horizons, we get used to thinking about gender boundaries more blurred, we realize that we will have to live more and more in an infected world. It is a process that seems to be new and revolutionary, more than the one that hybridizes meat with cybernetics, both ancient and ancestral. Man has experienced periods in which he felt in a magical symbiosis with other animal beings whose world was an inexhaustible basin of symbols, and then disrespectfully placed above them. Current events seem to tell us to change course again to return, in a new and unusual way towards an inter-connected world.
Interesting relationship between the rougher, stenciled animals and the delicate, precise oil-painted bodies.
