From the abyss of possible forms, the concept was born from the dream in which I drown. Periodically, this dream returns. Thus outlined, the drowning and the symbolic death that I experience in my dreams, amplifies my fear. In the past, my parents saved me
from drowning. The moments spent in the unconscious, in which "I" no longer represented
"I" and my identity was under water, made up a few seconds of freedom. The water symbolizes the flow of emotions and therefore, it can be the effort to survive as a person, to keep your identity. “There are dead stars that still shine because their light is trapped in time. Where do we stand in this light, which does not strictly exist? ” – Don Delillo
I think the title of "Under water you're almost free" focuses on the vague, abstract enough feeling that gives you the freedom to project your own feelings and experiences. From a spatial point of view, water gives rise to the illusion of infinite space, in which the line of the horizon meets the line of water, and therefore, to be under water means to cancel any delimitation of space. Leaving aside all these perceptions and symbols, I would like to emphasize the state of "beyond", of bathing in consciousness.
In essence, "Under water you're almost free" returns us to the primordial energy and the
ego outside its tangible nature. It brings us back to the fluctuating freedom of consciousness in the amniotic fluid.
