'The Language of Aerial Maneuvers', 2018 is a body of work, exploring the multilayered world of mass consumerism, employing a variety of digital (& analogue) techniques. Transforming my computer screen as a canvas to explore vintage advertisements; I explore the growth of capitalism in the 1980s whilst playing with the notion of performing for oneself. Using a multitude of mediums (VHS, digital images & video) to capture the semiotics of commodity within the realm of advertising, I bring about the creation of my 'language' with the motif of a TV aerial being a signifier of communication (or lack thereof).
