With this work I have tried to capture my dystopian vision of the future in a lovely dream landscape: at first sight nothing seems to be wrong. But when you have a closer look, you will find these embryo's growing in a shell instead of a motherly womb. I believe humanity will be sacrificed to technology. That's not a pity, it's just the way things are. I have put my work under water: while water is the beginning of all life, yet it looks as if it's submerged … in a vat of formaldehyde or some kind of hostile environment. The aim of the work is to play with the unease felt by the audience and to turn it into a sense of curiosity.
