1. Pure Luck:
One of the elements is a token of luck, the second is of misfortune.
One is a representative os all that is plasticky, artificial and tacky while the other is organic and chaotic. These are two of the most significant rules that dominate today's life and I felt I could give them a contemporary voice through this painting.
2: One Euro:
This painting is about making a mass production toy, lacking of any individuality, into a "one of" item. Where in the capitalist system can we look for individuality and uniqueness?
The painting attempts at attracting the viewer to notice the manipulation invested in making us buy needless junk just to buy few minutes of silence from our kids.
It is also pointing a sad comment on how deeply violence is embedded in human society.
3. Post Modernism:
A chaotic ensemble of none related items gathered accidentally on my studio's table.
We see everything from a Lenin bust to an apple in a plastic bag, which is a bit what our time in history might be remembered as.All the same I insist on trying to see something poetic in it all.
