“New order”, installation, 2019,
map with a redesigned view of continents and countries, a steel object with a movable crossbar on which a steel ball is placed.
It is a small project consisting in the recomposition of relations between countries on the world map by colliding with a moving steel element (balance beam? arrowhead?) fThe assembly of the work is very simple. Hang the map on the three-legged stand by lifting it as high as possible. The map hanging on the stand should be placed against the wall background. A steel-silver object should be placed in front of the map. Its movable crossbar is mounted with a threaded axle and nuts. We direct it with the arrowhead towards the map. The steel ball should be on the opposite side at the top, that’s all.acing the center of the map.
The world should change, we all feel it. This perverse work raises many questions: what would his presence look like if a new proposal for a metamorphosis were presented? How would the culturally different neighbors develop? What national trends would we experience and how would their lives develop? What kind of relationships will arise between the new hypothetical neighbors? Where are we going to go, and will we go together or separately?
Are we still able to change and, above all, improve our world?
