In the end it’s all about the money 2016
Historically every time there is a monetary crisis, there is also a crisis of human values.
For me it is impossible to think that the world does not see the dangerous tendencies that are happening all over the world. It makes me think that Samir Amin is right in his article The Return of Fascism in Contemporary Capitalism in which he say: “Fascism is not synonymous with an authoritarian police regime that rejects the uncertainties of parliamentary electoral democracy. Fascism is a particular political response to the challenges with which the management of capitalist society may be confronted in specific circumstances.”
In the end it’s all about the money Is a performance in which I cut 12 stars out of 12 one euro coins and make a new flag of EU.
Are we going to let the EU be all about the money, and slowly but steady go in the direction of closure (bringing back the borders) and diminution of human rights?

Nika Rukavina was born in Rijeka, Croatia where she lives and works. Her practice is interdisciplinary and it addresses the problem of social intolerance, discrimination, the impact of the repressive system and its environment on the individuals who do not accept the imposed social consensus.
She holds a diploma in sculpture of Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, some of the places she exhibited are: Kunsthaus Graz; Magazzini del Sale, Venice; Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rijeka; gallery Sehsaal, Vienna; gallery Bevilacqua La Masa and gallery Nuova Icona, Venice; Škuc Gallery,Ljubljana; Memphis Gallery, Linz; Frei_raum Q21, Vienna; Gallery 5020, Salzburg. She is one of the winners of the Ivo Kalina Award, the city of Rijeka art award for the best exhibition in 2009. She was selected to exhibit at 12th Exhibition of HT Awards for Contemporary Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb.
She did Residency's in Donostia European Capital of Culture; Donostia, Q21, Museumsquartier; Vienna, StAiR; Graz, KulturKontakt; Vienna.
