Hello,
My name is Ladislas, I'm a French Artist based in Barcelona.
I saw today an avert on instagram about your exhibition project "Welcome To heaven", I think my work resonate with this and I'd like to submit some Art to it.
I create some Digital paintings as well as mixed media on canvas. The digital and new media is important in my creative process and often the base of a future painting on canvas.
I'm working on the connexion of "human with nature".
This new millenium is the theater of massive changes. Humans are mostly responsible for those changes.
It seems that we tend to concentrate more and more in the cities and progressively losing the connection between nature and or initial primitive “wildness” and “freedom” to fall more and
more on a “Digital and 24/7 connected” way of living.
In this search for evolution we look for a lost paradise, heaven and transform our world to our need and preferences. We "improve" and experiment on everything around us like vegetables, animals, habitats and landscapes, even ourselves.
In this process that should be positive we "alienate" what's surrounding us, and provoke chains of reactions.
In my paintings I'm presenting humans in surrealistic sceneries. Lush and colorful jungles filled with animals and plants.
I'm showing "distorted and alienated versions of heaven" and invite the viewer to dive into these surrealistic sceneries.
I'm interested to see what the viewer will perceive ? The richness and explosion of life of natural elements ? Or the alienation of all this mashup of elements? Some peaceful and balanced imaginative heavens where human is reconnecting with nature? Or the chaos behind these alienated natural compositions?
