This submission is the result of a series of experiments in animation that I've recently began making with my work. Using traditional media – paper, paint, glue, collage – intentionally as a form of practice that is sustained on physicality, my investigation into the production of images, the search for a contained space, finds in these simple, shareable digital tools (gifmakers//social networks) a way of bringing these classical references into a digital space.
"enjoy the silence" works upon a series of collages made during lockdown in June/July 2020. In giving movement to the weight of stone, as light as paper, as immaterial as a gif, the attempt is a poetic gesture, and simultaneously a private joke.
