About Object BAY:
Two found pieces of a broken jug are put together. The dysfunctionality of the new state – in relation to its origin – is evident.
Perhaps it is now a place of remembrance – due to a process of connecting and previous cleaning of the two pieces, it could be the beginning of a cure.
Perhaps its new state also harbors the possibility of another meaningfulness – without losing its roots.
Technical details:
Height: 30 cm, width 21 cm, diameter 20 cm broken, industrially manufactured clay jug 2 x connected with tape, 2019
Object BAY is a collaboration with Yoko Ono (Water Event) and was part of the exhibition „Peace is Power“ in the Museum of Fine Arts / Leipzig / 2019.

The starting point and trigger for this work was a documentation on the German-French cultural channel ARTE: https://www.arte.tv/de/videos/064376-000-A/9-11-die-welt-danach-1-2/
Object BAY is the first attempt to convert my strong emotional touch into a constructive activity on the object.
I would like to continue this work individually and with others, whereby the focus of the process is important to me.
About the activity:
I went to my garden and found two pieces. They belonged together some years ago.
I made it clean many times. But – not too accurate.
I put it together. But – not so strong.
