Salat Magazin & ZKM on “Post Future”
Stating to live in the post future is the artist’s way to say: „We, those who take part in artistic and cultural practice, are ahead in time compared to those who are still having the attitude of someone living in the present. We take action, we influence our times and the future with our artistic practice and the way we are living.“ Salat Magazin looks forward to collect and curate exciting and fresh, practical and theoretical approaches to our turbulent times and the times ahead in the next episode called post future. Via the Open Call on nextmusuem.io, diverse artistic positions were selected to be presented and discussed in the Meetup.
The exhibition Writing the History of the Future at the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe is also dedicated to the role of artists as “antennae of society”. In this extraordinary compilation, the ZKM presents the main works from its globally unique media art collection.
