Nine suns shine over new digital worlds – A glimpse into our future? The exhibition Nine Suns invites visitors to experience immersive° virtual worlds that mesmerize, captivate and overwhelm. The aim is to explore new ways of relating to our environment and to bridge the gap between human and non-human actors.
Against this background, eleven artistic positions are staged as an immersive and multi-sensory° experience, taking place simultaneously both inside and outside of our universe. On 300m 2 technologies merge into a poetic hybrid form of countless alternative realities that expand our experience of the here and now. Visitors are given the opportunity to slow down and explore new spatial metamorphoses.
Nine Suns is curated and directed by artist and scenographer Vesela Stanoeva. The exhibition shows a wide range of artistic perspectives and their implementation through VR, AR and interactive installations as well as other forms of time-based media art. With artworks by: Johanna Mangold, Lena Biresch, Glor1a&Alpha_rats, Eunjeong Kim, Vesela Stanoeva, Dimitris Gkikas, Andrea Familari, Baum & Leahy, Lotta Stöver, MengXuan Sun and Christian Bröer. Part of the artworks were found via previous.nextmuseum.io.
